-- DREAMS WE KNEW -- John Herlihy Are dreams realities we never knew, Never to happen, never to come true ? Are dreams really a thing only to let go, Never a possibility we would ever know? Are our dreams only there us to motivate, Never in our lives a reality to substantiate? Are dreams nothing more than cruel myth, Like toy baubles that a child may play with? Are dreams just pretending of a different life, A dream to happen in another person’s life? Do our dreams just linger long enough to last, Before they disappear in the mist of our past? Why do we ever expect dreams to come true , If they did, they wouldn’t be dreams we knew? - - - - - - (c) John Herlihy 1 April 2019

HMMMMM...THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF DREAMS. DAY DREAMS, WHERE SOME ARE REALIZED AND OTHERS FADE INTO HOPES NOT REALIZED. THEN THERE ARE THE OTHER KIND OF DREAMS THAT COME WHILE SLEEPING. HOWEVER, IN ANY CASE, MANY THINGS INFLUENCE OUR DREAMS AND WHETHER THEY COME TRUE OR NOT, WE CAN USUALLY TELL WHEN WE HAVE ONE THAT NEEDS TO BE HELD ONTO AND REMEMBERED, BECAUSE, WE NEVER FORGET IT. I believe dreams, whether acknowledged as such or not, are the fuel that keeps us going. Without our dreams of any and every kind where would we be?
