LIVING WITH CERTAINTY

In a world of doubt and denial,

We are surrounded by mysteries.

In a world uncertain of survival,

We are surrounded by certainties.

Smokey fog arrives on cat’s paws,

An air of certainty flames the fire.

A dead rabbit held in an eagle’s jaws,

Passion and lust are objects of desire.

A sense of certainty lies in grey skies.

Does anyone doubt arrival of the sun?

We trust the breath the body relies on,

At twilight, we know night has begun.

Uncertain times do summon the mist,

To cover the certainty in our midst.
