-- His Voice Heard --
John Herlihy
God’s words are life and spirit,
They echo thru valley and field.
Every letter and breath merit,
I breathe His words in, I yield.
Do we speak, yet He does not,
Our words can never compare.
We offer thanks as a gift knot,
Thru words, we utter a prayer.
When God speaks, we but listen,
When thunder rumbles, we hear.
His light shines thru life’s prism,
We drown in His presence near
The voice of the storm’s lightning,
Can be heard in lightning’s thunder.
The beauty of the storm’s brightening,
Can be seen in a rainbow’s wonder.
The call of the lark magical taunting,
The call of the loon mystical haunting.
Beauty is found in the voice of a bird,
Blessing is found in God’s voice heard.
