-- The Fulness of Love’s Emptiness --

John Herlihy

In love, I give myself away,

Emptiness remains.

In love, nothing left to say,

Cold runs in my veins.

In love, I await some little return,

My desires in chains.

A fragment of hope I cannot spurn,

My heart suffers pains.

In love, now waiting to be filled,

My well-earned gains.

Filled to brimming, I feel stilled,

In peace, love remains.

Love’s outpouring leaves emptiness behind,

Love’s inpouring inspires fulness of mind.

CONTRASTS...FULFILL/BALANCE EACH OTHER; JUST AS DAY IS APPRECIATED SO MUCH AFTER A LONG NIGHT...THE EMPTINESS OF LOVE IS AUDACIOUSLY SATISFIED WHEN IT IS FILLED. THANK YOU, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

A beautiful description masterfully wrought of the blooming of a true love affair. Enchanted.
