-- Dawn Yet Again -- John Herlihy Dawn makes the new day profound. First seconds of day wear its holy halo. An hour to draw closer to the Spirit. The day lost in the throes of beginning. Most people sleep as the day awakens. In shadows behind the light, God weeps. Shades still drawn, shutters still closed. The day flies in on the wings of darkness. Stillness of streets marks Hour of Louds. Psalms in the silence of dawn, yet again. The day awakening in the here and now. The dawn’s light reflected in house windows. The light moving into the day, all anticipation. All love and life captured in a single moment. With God we weep, in tribute to this beauty. - - - - - - (c) John Herlihy 29 July 2020

Since tomorrow is never promised, each new dawn is indeed a gift to us, and if my name isn't in the obits, I'll eat a good breakfast and go back to bed.
