One can't read this sequential exploration of text and feelings without flashing on the tempest that precedes most tidal experiences. If only more of us, metaphorically, would harken to the consequences of storm and know that one can surf off the caps to a sandy or rocky shore. Not all is good in a tempest's aftermath.
