MIRROR POEMS

-- Indecision --

John Herlihy

The morbid spell of indecision,

The wind knows not what to say.

A door closed with precision,

To stand hesitant and stay.

Choices with no clear view,

No seeing which way to go.

To survey all that one knew,

Things say yes, others say no.

Decision wavers, never made,

The responsibility a heavy weight.

The waters too muddy to wade,

The decision already too late.

The idle whip makes no sound,

The hungry birds search around.

-- Decision --

John Herlihy

The magic spell of decision,

The mind finally has its say.

A door opens with precision,

To walk through and away.

Choices there to be made,

Weighing the evens and odds.

A judgement ready to be paid,

Mind made up, the head nods.

Accept the decision once made,

The responsibility feels earned.

Into fresh waters there to wade,

The other choice now spurned.

The cracked whip makes a sound,

The startled birds leave the ground.

THE WORD SAYS...'A DOUBLE MINDED MAN IS UNSTABLE IN ALL HIS WAYS'. SO ONE IS BETTER MAKING A DECISION AND STICKING BY IT, BECAUSE REMEMBER...WHETHER IT'S RIGHT OR WRONG...TO ERR IS HUMAN. THANK YOU, JOHN. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

I'm a professional ditherer and overthinker. Making up my mind about something is often easier said than done. Kind of like the squirrel when faced with an incoming car.

So into the purpose of your thought. Decisions have so many aspects, and you've captured the essence of such a dilemma. Well penned. Kudos
