-- A Lifetime -- John Herlihy Once a lifetime to spend, The world itself on lend. Eternal moments for the infant, Sheer delight for the child. Promise for the pre-adolescent, A long road for the teenager. A map of the world for the adult, Top of the world for the mature. A downward slope for the aging, A ticking clock for the elderly. A blink of an eye for the old, Hourglass run dry for the senile. A long lifetime now spent. Forgotten what it all meant. - - - - - - Copyright © John Herlihy Sunday 1 November 2020

IT IS ONLY AS WE GROW OLDER ON THIS EARTH DO WE GRASP THE 'SPEED' AT WHICH THE YEARS IN 'A LIFETIME' ARE SPENT. HOPEFULLY, IF ONE IS BLESSED WITH OLD AGE, THEY LEARN TO APPRECIATE THE GOD THAT HAS, IS AND WILL FOREVER TAKE THEM THROUGH TO...AN 'ETERNAL' LIFETIME! THANK YOU, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Our lifetimes are but a blink in the eye. You have drawn it out a bit with your ages of our lives that Frank Sinatra did so well when he described those years that were very good years for the girls in his life. "It was a very good year for uptown girls�"

But you will not be forgotten when future historians catch your travel logs and find them delightfully arcane and descriptive of the time you lived and traveled so well.
