Is anything as ageless as the wind

that serves as the breath of life?

Is anything as faithful as the rain

that nourishes the earth day and night?

Is anything as enduring as the mountains

that stabilize the earth with their strength?

Is anything as vast as the ocean

that extends far across the horizon’s length?

Is anything as beautiful as the sunrise

that announces the coming of the day?

Is anything as emotional as the sunset

that heralds the demise of the day?

Is anything as insistent as time

That interweaves between day and night?

Is anything as lonely as the loon’s cry

that steals into our hearts out of sight?

Is anything as blinding as the night

that enters the heart as if it could see?

Is anything as awesome as the stars

That open a door into the field of eternity?

Is anything as tentative as the moon

that seems to have lost its way?

Is anything as elusive as a miracle

 that promises everything, but gives nothing away?

Is anything as treasured as a secret

that lives as long as it is kept?

Is anything as sorrowful as an emotion

that overflows into tearful eyes that wept?

Are there any mysterious questions

that will keep us guessing?

Are there any illuminating answers

that will serve us as blessing?
