One good thing about this here life,

Nothin’ ever lasts for long.

We all pass thru tribulation and strife,

That soon disappear, so long.

One good thing about being alive,

Even standing still, we grow.

We make efforts, breathe deep, survive,

In growing, we come to know.

One good thing about accepting fate,

We never ourselves fight.

Just accept and deal with what we create,

Even in darkness see light.

One good thing about falling into despair,

We realize the power of hope.

No matter what happens, rely on prayer,

To make way back up the slope.

One good thing about happiness,

Even if it doesn’t last.

It wards off the ravages of bitterness,

Its sweetness to hold fast.

One good thing about having been born,

The mystery of being alive.

To live in time for a time, from eternity torn,

To return to our origins, we strive.

One good thing about having to die,

Nothing lasts forever.

Only the soul will always death defy,

And will live forever.
