There it is on its own

Meaning in the word sewn

Alone

To discover such fearful simplicity

To value such wondrous intimacy

Alone

Where we find a new friend

Exquisite silence without end

Alone

In empty space freedom to bend

Not a place where I feel condemned

Alone

In isolation amid the crowd

My feelings wrapped in a shroud

Alone

Time left for myself unspent

To enter worlds I never went

Alone

As if encased within a snowdrift

Winter’s peace there to uplift

Alone

Intimacy can be found in solitude

In the desert, in the night, gratitude

Alone

On a tropical paradisal island

In such an enchanting land

Alone

A room with no window, no door

Only deeper depths within to explore
