Interaction of day and night as a perfect plan,

Fulfilling their duties when the world began.

The day advances and recedes by sacred laws,

The night approaches stealthily on cat’s paws.

The dying day laid to rest amid such stillness,

Night’s shutters finally close in peacefulness.

The ancient wisdom of the darkness appears,

Night’s signature ever steady across the years.

Stars admonish us with their subtle presence,

Their infinitudes descend to enter our essence.

Eerie cacophonies blend into wild night sound,

To disturb the silence with soul-cries profound.

The moon rises, leaving everything in shadow

Bathing the earth’s darkened face in moonglow.

With no cause for concern, nothing to bereave,

Even the night knows its limits as it takes leave.
