Time now to no longer pretend,

Even eternity itself has an end.

Eternity the fullest extent of time,

The arc of a perfect circle sublime.

Every beginning leaves an end behind,

Every ending marks a beginning in kind.

Time but steps on the ladder to eternity,

End and beginning confirm the mystery.

We stir up notions of present and past,

With desires and regrets that never last.

We sail into the future on winds of hope,

We descend into the past on frayed rope.

We try to wrap eternity around our head,

The clock ticking, but eternity a mystery instead.

There to be found in the outer space of infinity,

Beginning and end found encircled in eternity.
