-- My Testament, My Prayer – John Herlihy I am as night You are as day I am at war In You lies peace I am in shadow You are in light In me lies doubt In You lies certainty I seek to find You the one found My wounds bleed You my wounds bind I am afraid You soothe my fear I am alone You are always near I am guilty You offer me innocence I feel remorse You offer forgiveness I have done wrong You are the Merciful I feel betrayed You are the Compassionate I am empty You are full Without you, absence With You, presence. It is obvious from your poem that you regard the other, "You," with great regard.

Unfortunately, I am at the whim of fate. Fortunately, fate has come to my rescue almost every time I've come upon an unsurmountable problem. I have great spirit within me that carries on regardless of what is happening to me or the world around me.
