SO TRUE JOHN. OUR SCARS, IN MANY CASES, ARE YET TENDER IN PLACES AND YET JUST COVERING UP... WOUNDS...NOT ENTIRELY HEALED. A FINE WORK. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.
As much as life can hurt, I'm proud of the scars I bear. They are a souvenir from battles fought and survived, proof of my resilience and my refusal to surrender. They are badges of my life, lived.
An interesting comparison between scars and wounds, an alert also to the non-physical toll emotional scars and wounds take. One can only hope that in the future mentally challenged people are given as much research and care as the technology provides for the physical scars and wounds. Some deep thinking in this piece, areas we can afford to spend more time contemplating.
Your poetry is vivid stark and true to reality of wounds, and scars John. How many deep scars have healed in our past but the memory remains in a jar, one that can easily shatter at any given moment. Deep emotions penned here, love it
