Daydreams disappear in the night,

Our sleeping dreams see no day.

Night dreams fill us with fright,

But daydreams gentle words say.

Our field of daydreams soon fade,

There in the sky, out in the blue.

On the shores of our mind wade,

Wishing the dreams to be true .

The real trouble with our dreams,

Is they sometimes do come true .

Experience what the dream means,

Like nothing that we ever knew.

Once but an imposing mystery,

Our aching hearts to inspire.

Finally, to appear as bold reality,

Blooming as a flower soon to tire.

Dreams in the mind strike thunder,

That echoes in the well of our hearts.

As realities, they lose their wonder,

A brief flame that fizzles and departs.
