The fragility of hope Matches the depths of despair. The fragility of the secret Lies in the threat of its betrayal. The fragility of the promise Exposed to a tendency to be broken. The fragility of waiting Fortified by the specter of arrival. The fragility of the spider’s web Lies in the strength of safe refuge. I can see that much thought went into this wise portrayal of how fragile life is. We just had our annual cold front these days that has turned the landscape from green to a hush and beautiful white blanket that will surely end up with all of the flora that is not protected turned brown. But hiding in the trunk of durable trees and shrubs where seeds and eggs and larvae surviving until the warm spring sun allows them to become active and grow again.

The word "fragility" is definitely the word for the day. Hostage exchange and the subsequent carrying out of the truce is perhaps more than fragile... its brittleness is teetering on the edge of another failure to achieve peace, unaware, perhaps, that it seems that anything that is agreed to in that part of the world is historically infirm.

It feels good to read a take like yours, as the global fragility we could be in for in the coming months with the loose cannon in Washington is frightening.
