-- Truth’s Sting -- by John Herlihy The soothing balm of lies Treachery in fine disguise Comfort found in deceit Pretending truth to greet Sordid lies induce a laugh Cut into the truth by half Lies project a positive air Truth resonates as prayer Lies dig in their hooves Truth its reality proves White lies try to be kind Truth’s sting jolts the mind Lies pave a clear pathway To where? SOMETIMES THE PLAIN, SURE ARROW OF 'TRUTH' STINGS...BUT IN THE END, IT IS FAR BETTER THAN THE BALM OF A TOTAL LIE, WHICH EVENTUALLY DEVELOPS INTO A 'MOUND' OF DECEIT! GREAT WORK, JOHN...IN EVERY WAY. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.

Another one of your dichotomy poems. This one defines our time very well. We have entered a period where have truth and lies rule until we come to our senses and realize that following our instincts born from our savage beginning over 1 million years ago that we can't shake with knowledge and thinking will have to be improved or we will self-destruct. Truth must always win over lies.

Sad to see the fact checkers on the Internet disappearing for profit.
