Lies About Truth

Lies sometimes feel good,
Telling us things we want to know.
Lies sometimes feel bad,
Telling us things we don’t want to know.
Lies sometimes reveal,
Telling us things we have no need to know.
Lies sometimes foretell,
Telling us things we will never know.
Lies sometimes disclose,
Telling us things people should wrongfully know.
Lies sometimes hide,
Telling us things that people should never know.
Lies sometimes betray,
Telling us things we once thought to be true
Lies always lie,
Telling us things as if they were true .

The truth sometimes hurts,
Telling us things we don’t want to know.
The truth sometimes informs,
Telling us things we want to know.
The truth sometimes reveals,
Telling us things we otherwise wouldn’t know.
The truth sometimes foretells,
Telling us things we will eventually know.
The truth sometimes hides,
Not telling us things we need to know.
The truth sometimes discloses,
telling us things that we thankfully know.
The truth never lies,
Telling us things we never mistakenly know.
The truth eventually sighs,
Telling us things we finally come to know.

Lies are often told as an emotional thing. Trying to keep someone from being hurt with good intentions. Unfortunately, when discovered later, the hurt may be much greater than if the truth were told right away.
I don't believe in lie to protect anyone, especially children, to if they would fall prey to someone trying to hurt them as a result of the truth.
I learned very young than telling the truth has consequences. But often, those are minor compared to what not telling the truth eventually comes to.
