Taste by John Herlihy Our taste Never in haste A spear Into the interior A remarkable sense Filling such absence The hunger gone Left behind a song Surging thru veins Satisfaction remains Drop on the tongue Mysteries spun Not just to survive Feeling alive Taste the Divine Adoration sublime Taste the nectar A honeyed specter Prostrate in awe By what I saw Seeing/tasting combined Filling the mind Visions we stole Planted in the soul Mystic seeds To serve our needs Destiny a web spun One inside the One - - - - - Copyright © John Herlihy Sunday 15 June 202

There is taste and then there is good taste. Your poem tastes them all.

Long ago I learned that taste is really ineffective without smell.
