Tell me something not a bold-faced lie,
Something so egregious I just want to cry.
Tell me something so I can feel your trust,
Not rambling of an ego saying what you must.
Tell me something to make me convinced,
And not just something your ego has evinced.
Tell me something that makes me want to comply,
And not just some medicine you want me to try.
Tell me something that will make me feel hope,
Not some stupid whim that makes you seem a dope.
What? I didn’t hear you! You said absolutely nothing?
Why that’s the first thing I finally find worth something.

I think you were referring to the Almighty God who never says a word when fervent prayers are sent out to him, or the other guy, closer to home, but even more ridiculous.
