I feel there's a lot of wisdom to the poem. All things, including rocks, are imbued with spirit because Nature herself is a living, breathing entity. It would behoove us all to remember that as we continue to pollute the earth and foul the air.

To many, spirit is an enigma beyond comprehension. As your poem suggests, however, it is a phenomenon of belief that transcends any reality-based belief and does so by purpose. Spirit is--to those who find supernatural association difficult to accept--an embrace of its existence as an inner energy, the inner self or essence that is within all of us to respect and use constructively and creatively. Your subtext underscores its universality and conveys an intrinsic, conscious acceptance of its mystery. Thank you for posting.
