Nothing Good Ever Lost by John Herlihy In the span of a long, blessed life, Nothing good can ever be lost. Goodness never to be taken away, A secret revealed as a gift accepted. Once given never to take its leave, It stays behind as part of a person. Adopted into their own character, Blended into the mind and heart. Planted as seed in the soil of soul, Even love that is irretrievably lost. Remains as blessing sealed within, Good acts serve the greater good. AND I AM DULY REMINDED THAT, EVEN THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE 'GOOD THINGS' TO REMEMBER...STILL HAVE 'GOOD THINGS' TO RECALL BECAUSE, AS THE WORD OF GOD TELLS US...'ALL' THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD...' According to psychology, we tend to remember the good things and forget the bad, except the bad that were so horrendous they are permanently lodged in our minds.

When I think back about all the times I've been through, there's good in all of them. Even if a reader reading them would think they were bad. Lessons learned I guess. Bad choices that never worked out, thank goodness! Thinking if I had married her and what she would be like today.

So true. The phrasing really resonated with me and reminded me of how many times I've found that loss is the greatest teacher of grace and thankfulness for what one has, free of unfulfilled wants. Thank you for posting such a clear message.
