Passage into Night by John Herlihy Cold blows the wind Gently falls the rain Dawn’s face grinned At dusk the day slain Soft touch of breeze Twilight’s rosy blush Falling autumn leaves Silence whispers hush Day as fare thee well Night secrets soft The dusk bids farewell As stars rise aloft Rays of light below On earth moonglow - - - - Copyright © John Herlihy Tuesday 21 October 2025

I really love the lilting rhythm of this piece. It flows so beautifully and the images just pop into mind. But the use of dusk twice in a similar way, might be changed to only use it once.
