Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow by John Herlihy You loved me yesterday. I'm not sure you love me today. Will you love me tomorrow? You spoke ill of me yesterday. You apologized to me today. What will you do tomorrow? You praised me yesterday. You insulted me today. Will you lie to me tomorrow? You arrived yesterday. You stayed with me today. Will you leave me tomorrow? You left me yesterday. You stayed away today. Will come back tomorrow? You met me yesterday. You loved me today. Will you hate me tomorrow? WE USUALLY CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. WE DO THE BEST WE CAN, BY FAITH. BECAUSE YESTERDAY DOESN'T NECESSARILY DEEM WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TODAY. SOMETIMES IT DOES, BUT NOT ALWAYS. AND AS FAR AS TOMORROW IS CONCERNED... IT'S NOT IN OUR HANDS. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN, SO...WE HAVE TO REMEMBER WHO HAS OUR YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW...ALL UNDER CONTROL. AMEN. ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Your words span univeral ways of loving. One could apply this poem to a person, an animal, a piece of Nature or... oneself. Self-love is in short supply for many who are racked with anxiety for what they don't have and giving too little attention to what they have. The old tugawar... want verses need. Wise words from an experienced adult... also in short supply.

So very true, especially with regard to relationships. Dealing with other people is something of a crap shoot. No matter how well you think you know them, you really don't. As many heartbroken hearts can attest.

"What will be will be." But what happened yesterday and what is happening today can generally foretell what tomorrow will be in relationships.

Relationships only will require one thing: "Will do you still love me tomorrow?"

We can find the answers in song.
