I Fear Not The Eternal Night:

What dare I to say,

if perchance darkness sought you this day.

What more could I, or would I do,

If by insane reason, your sight were removed.

Pray tell unto me now, and where would I even start,

If by in secret, I was told that your healing meant

that you would need a strong new heart.

Would I wait just and see of what all you would truly need.

Or would I do as I feel, and give unto you all of me.

For if it meant by this, that you would but have another day,

Yes…just even one more day

To once, again see the glory of a setting sun,

Or to hear the simple laughter of children at play

If I could for you…this I would do…

I would rip from my body this heart of mine

And I would give unto you these eyes

So that you may once, more see the passage of time.

Yes I would give it all to you,

For you are the reason that I exist,

You are the era of all that I call bliss,

So worry not about the failings of sight,

And cast no more cares on a heart that sighs,

For anything of me, that you would ever need,

I will give freely unto you in love and deed.

For I fear nothing of the eternal night,

As I know of His promise from above.

I will know that you in your new found light

will at last know the true meaning of my love.
