He’s Dead

"He's dead you fool, he's dead.
Died of a stupid broken heart.
Would've been better iffin he
just took a shot to the head."

"How can you be so cruel?
And please, dont call me a fool.
I just came by to say hello,
and by the way, you just run your mouth for show".

"Aint no need to say hello
aint no need to say goodbye.
He dont live here anymore,
he's deader than dead; ***oh good grief*,
ya aint gonna cry?

I knew him well sir, and I weep not for him, for it is as you say.
He is gone, and most certain left on the silver wings of an angel that much is plain.
For you see, it is you that draws my tears, you with your cold and hardened heart.

You care not for anyone other than yourself because you live your life in the dark.

So you see, though he may be dead, and he calls this home no more.

He lived his life for others and now resides in peace on a golden shore.

“He’s still dead you old fool”……

You care not for anyone other than yourself because you live your life in the dark.

So sadly true, for so many these days, it seems.

Yes indeed and Amen!

Can I get an A-MEN?

I like this poem and the wisdom behind it.
Love and blessings.

Nice comparative piece with so much disgust and expression running throughout. Could feel the anger jumping through the screen....

Be safe,
Karen

Nice write, I liked the flow as it moved along very well. I especially like:
"Aint no need to say hello
aint no need to say goodbye.
He dont live here anymore,
he's deader than dead; ***oh good grief*,
ya aint gonna cry?"
