Getting your word heard
Much as it might seem absurd,
Success lies in getting your word heard.
Genius often lies in hibernation
Till noticed by town or nation.
People resist the new rising star
Will not let you rise too far.
Famous ones need to be there alone
Your fame they will always postpone.
Talent alone can’t be banked upon.
Pushing you must be if not a don.
Build a platform or join a party
Or be on TV, become a smarty.
Or you’ll be called merely an upstart crow,
By those you are to leave far below.
