I bet many can relate.......

Poem Artwork

I sit here day after day,
long hours into the night.
The world out side
ceases to exist,
my spelling sometimes
giving me real fits!

I can get no calls,
no outside line........
Loved ones come,
Loved ones go.
Sometimes I don't even know!

Giving up, friends stop by.....
Just to make sure
I'm still alive.
More often than not,
Its on here they find,
me tapping away.....
with them,
not ready to spend the day.

I hear them in the distance,
through this writers fog,
saying we're internet widows
lost you to keyboard strokes.

How do I balance
this life of mine,
how do I make it stop?
I'm to the point now
even my phone
spouts things that I have wrote!
Its in me, around me
in everything I see.
The verse
The rhyme
The rhythm
Screaming

STOP!

WAIT!

WRITE ABOUT ME!

I lay down and try to sleep,
only to find myself
again jumping to my feet!
Slow the words.........
Slow the thoughts.......
Just a little if you please,
This habit is getting
the better of me!

So my family says they are widows
well, so am I
I leave this world,
to a magical place,
Its my great escape.
Inside my mind.........
always I find........
more words to share
always enough time!

Yes, I am a widow,
but the fault is mine......

I too have had those moments in time where I am caught up and what is going on around me comes to a standstill. I can feel the energy.
