Dreams in Midnight Blue 
 

In the cool, crisp evening of an autumn night the gulls swoop high and screech as they take flight I walk slowly, enjoying the quiet music of the sea's welcoming whisper calling to me, to lie upon it's cool, caressing waves and ride away to any where, and nowhere lonliness has wrapped itself around me and holds me trapped, against my will only his loving touch can set me free As the  moist sea air has dampens my soft skin and silky black hair I hear a smooth deep voice, whisper softly in my ear "My love, look out to the midnight sea, there is where you will find me" I am not shocked by these mysterious events for so long, I've come here, waiting for this mysterious presence of this blue eyed Merman who envades my sleep, I long for the touch of his cool, firm fingers, and that deep, musical voice that cause my heart to race and leap As my desires awaken and peak  longing is not in vain, I stop and look out to sea a tall, broad figure slowly arises and walks purposely towards me I' m breathless, as his strong armsenfold me in a warm embrace, and with a welcoming smile he showers kisses upon my face  and once again, I am engulfed in a twilight fantasy with my blue eyed lover from the sea We sit near the sea, he pulls me close, and we kiss ever so passionately We touch with such joy and surprise, and I see hunger and need in his deep blue eyes with heated urgency our longing need is realized unitedly The silvery moon is a witness our cries of joy and consumate fire as we wet, and then quench our burning desire While I am held in his strong embrace, I feel his heart beat to the same rhythm as my own but I sigh with sadness, for the night is almost gone Before the sun can warm the dawning new day my midnight lover will have to go away for he is not a part of this reality he is my perfect Merman that only I am blessed to see We stand and embrace, then he kisses the salty tears from my face '"Do not fear, my love, our love is for eternity for as long as the sea shall be, you will always have me, when the dolphins come out to play in the blue midnight sea, just look out beyond the horizon, and there, you shall always find me".
