THE DARK TOWER CHRONICLES

“Thy Dark Lord you say,”

“What befallen my Father”? I asked.

“No ones sure he pierced the Lords fray,”

“On a mission that he felt tasked.”

“Was he killed?” I muttered,

“ I would think so my lad.”

“ Its common knowledge he stuttered,”

“At the time his fury sent him mad.”

Smouldering gently, “How can you defeat evils word?”

Flaming torches of Riders, so many felled to grave.

Evil embraced, strangled and furred,

In one almighty monotype wave.

“There must be a way to outgun this fall,”

“Ways lad, so many ways one could work.”

“Ally with the Spider Queen her score would crawl,”

“Up walls, crevices seeking out eyes that lurk.”

“How would a mere mortal accomplish this?”

“She requires an end to this folly as we do.”

The sun plucked vapours of steam with a delicate kiss,

My breathing laboured as I wearied thoughts running through.

“Where do we find the Spider Queen?” I asked,

My Stepfather looked at me with tenderness of gaze.

“Caverns of bleakness behind the mists that mask,”

“So many ways to fill the mind in an infinity maze.

“How do we get through if its so dam hard?”

“How do you get through son, only you alone,”

“You are champion, you will bestow the final card.”

“It’s scattered in the sky from thy stars that were thrown.”

“Don’t look so traumatized it has to be this way,”

“But you can’t maroon me father your total to me.”

“I’m repentant son but really I can not stay,”

“I will always remember thee, just unite the nexus be free.
