Feeling deceived
Yesterday you said you were my friend
But where are you now?
Gone without a word or trace
Like a magician
You came into my life from nowhere
And just as quickly
Disappeared from it.
Maybe because I see through your veil.
Maybe because I’m to smart to be misled.
Maybe because I frighten you
With the truth.
Maybe, just maybe because
The power of my spirit
Overwhelms yours.
Prove me wrong,
For your silence is deafening
And undeserved.
I believed in you,
Believed in your dreams,
I still believe in mine.
Yet I am falling
Like a heartbeat slowly fading.
Come back and save my faith
In you
Before it is too late…

This one hit me, too. Can really identify. Spent the past five years being pretty damn disillusioned. Nice job... Dawn

Maybe he is expected to be a magican and needs to be everywhere at once. He was probably the busiest person on earth. Give him a chance. All men are not bad. Brothers unite, and shake it.....!!

I hope he can find his way back if you really want him to. Maybe
he isn't the one for you and you do scare him. Good stuff. Gregg

Caryn,
Good write - very sad. Kick this trash to the curb and close the door. Liars decieve us wearing several disguises talking like smoothed tongued devils. I have met several. Happy New Year and Blessings to You.

Caryn,

A very moving poem, hearfelt and mournful. Maybe 'he' wasn't worth your time and effort. You're a beautiful and strong lady, the best! Don't forget it. Besides Gilles wants his Green Eyed Cat to be happy and so do I. Love, Janet xoxoxo
