Shocked and confused
By your words and actions
Saying things you don’t mean
To push me away
Knowing which one of us speaks the truth
Maybe you should leave
And take time to think
For you took something good
Something innocent
And twisted it all up
To cover yourself
When you felt cornered
To protect only you
Maybe you need time
To reflect
On what you’ve done
Before you do it again
For friends are not so disposable
Feelings are vulnerable
Bruised hearts heal
Broken ones are scarred forever
Think next time before you play
Before you start another game
When you are lonely and down
Remember you are the one who can’t reach out
