Mans innate seeking for a higher plane.

*l QUESTING>

Nearly two thousand years ago, in a land that seemed so strange
A man was born to save the world, so the disciples claimed.
Since that time no other man, has had an impact quite the same
The only one who has lent his name, to be taken each day in vain.

Myth or story, fact or fiction, man has puzzled this contradiction,
Belief in God and His creation, has led to wars with many nations,
Fundamentalists thump the bible, while atheists vow it is not viable.
The fact remains the story's lasted, through wars famines and disasters.

An innate sense forces man to seek, a God of some sort, to have belief,
Whether Christian God or devil worship, Bhudda, Shin to, Nirvana perfect,
From the cavemans simple god of thunder, the human race just seems to blunder,
Into isms, sects and realms of wonder, seeking peace of soul, to shelter, under.

All the faiths claim true perfection, leading man in the right direction,
Solutions come to humans searching, providing some with salvation certain,
Saving souls, providing peace, giving all great spiritual release.
Finding absolution, freed from stress, each solution is claimed best.

To each his own, whatever works, it's in the mind, that's where it lurks,
The answer may be to what we're seeking, provided by religions teaching,
That seems to us to reach the soul, providing logic, to make us whole,
Agnostics even have that yearning, of the freedom gained through learning.

What is right and what is wrong, to which creed should I belong,
For me a different drummer beats, a rythmnic sound, repeats repeats,
You must find your own solution, to the question to find fruition,
What suits me may fit no other, I cannot answer for my brother.

And so it goes, questing seeking, answers eluding, minds seem weakening
I keep on searching for the answer true , will I find it from out of the blue,
Will I know it when it comes along? will my heart sing a happy song.
I only know I'll keep on questing, trying to reach lifes sweet perfection.

Let Your Goddess Grow! by Charlene Proctor

Intuitively, I know I've lived many lifetimes, and none more interesting than the one I'm living now. However, being born an old soul somehow did not excuse me from the same job I share with you and that is learning to craft a positive attitude about
