My daughter comes to visit me twice a month and we go out shopping (what she likes to do) and she is never on time. So, this is just a take (wisecrack) on if she were really on time.
She arrived earlier then stated
This was not anticipated
And I wasn’t ready to go
Plus I was moving a bit slow.
I have to eat
I have to shower
I won’t be
But a half an hour.
Make yourself comfortable
Have a rest
I will hurry
I’ll do my best.
Go and have
Something to eat
Don’t just stand there
Stomping your feet.
Before too long
I’ll be ready
Unbutton your coat
As you look sweaty.
Then I ate
And took a shower
And I was ready
In an half an hour.
She was surprised
I was so quick
But I did it
I was so slick.
So off we went
And on our way
To shop til we drop
Yet another day.
