A couplet poem about the meaning of tears and why they are built into our lives.

When the tears come the Almighty is near;

this, my friend, is exceedingly dear.

No matter what the fuss is all about;

it's time to say good-bye to all the doubt.

All these tears are for your benefit and mine;

eventually we see they're a very secure lifeline.

In most cases it's the wounded soul crying out;

for too long it has languished in the terrible drought.

How can this be, it's more than one can take;

the world seems so cruel, the tears bring heartbreak.

But just as the body has a built-in immune system;

so too the inner person, blessings unspoken.

If we've been hurt somehow, this too shall pass;

all of mankind lives in a house of glass.

Don't dwell on it, let those tears do their job;

now you can scourge the demons of the mob.

When the tears come the Almighty is near;

this, my friend, is exceedingly dear.

Even wisdom cannot bring a soul to paradise;

only those cleansing tears, and this without price.

George, you have expressed yourself clear and so well
This poetic piece tells about life and the pitfalls of hell
From this I have gained much more respect for you as a man
As a Christian believer myself, you just gained a loyal fan
Amen!
