At first I read it without reading the title. I was wondering who this smelly "she," was? And then I saw the title and understood. I really do miss the booming lilacs that we had in the spring in my youth. They don't grow here.

Reminds me of the lilac bushes that surrounded our house when we were children, indeed spreading their distinctive perfume and "good sense". Thank you for reminding me thru this charming poem.
