Soulful originality, for me, must be a blend of spirit, imagination, structure, and wisdom. I learned a long time ago, (in my twenties) that far too much of what comes out of me is superficial and self-centered when it does not meet this criteria. Our minds are incredible things when you consider what they think. Like Prince, your color is purple as the plums of expression in your poems. But I would beware following imagination over logic. Logic will not fail you.
