Those happy days are now all gone
where do I go from here.
My life is fading away year by barren year.

Now I am not living yet I am not dead.
Somewhere, somehow, I lost myself
inside this laden head.

But my memories were vivid
as I watched them slip away,
they became so very tainted
and began to never stay.

Now one day I'll leave this body and never
know I left. The four winds, they will call
but my spirit won't face death.

I'll step out of my body
and move about the world,
taking one last look and remembering
what I never could.

I'll realize it was not a dream  when my real life has begun.
When I step out of my body
the battle will be won.
