Christmas poem for children and adults of all ages. The magic of Christmas!

It was a cold night far in the North

The snow was twirling and swirling

Before it hit the ground

I could barely seee the road ahead

The snow pelting against the windshield

Staring at the endless flakes

On this Christmas eve

As the snow pelted like a reocurring dream

I was lost on Christmas eve night

Not knowing what to do

I could not turn around

Was afraid would be lost and not found!

Off to the right of this country road

Bright lights of colors red and green

Twinkled in the dark

On this Christas eve night

As I peered through the snowflakes

That seemed to never end!

My car once red

Went from red to white!

I slowly turned down a country road

Following the red and green lights

Music of Christmas filled the air

The snow had slowed so I could see

This house now in plain view

It wa shaped like a gingerbread cookie

The doorway shaped like a smile of course

Eyes were windows at the top

Candy cane lights lite the path

While ringing the door bell chimes rang

Ringing he jingle bell song

Hummed while I waited

For someone to answer the door

Off to the right was a pen of reindeer

The door creaked open

A small woman with round glasses on

Said" Come in out of the cold"

Her hair was as white as the new fallen snow

Told her was lost with now where to go!

She said" Don't worry dear you are safe here"

I asked the small framed lady

Dressed in red and white

Asked her what her name was while looking at me

Her eyes peered through the little round frames

The light i the room

Made her eye twinkle like stars

In the night

She laughed when she answered

The question I asked

Merry as in Christmas

She stated was fact

Told her on my way in

I saw reindeer in a closed pen

She stated they were her pride and joy

They were her pets and also her friends

She said her husband was busy at work

That he would be leaving that very night

Would not be returning for a day or two

Just then a large man walked into the room

I was sitting by the fire eating cookies with my tea

About choked when I looked up could not believe

What my eyes did see!

A man large as life with a white beard

If I did not know better

Would of thought it wa Saint Nick

He came and sat down on a big green chair

Red rosy cheeks and a smile on his face

Told me his name was Chris

Chris C!

I visited with Merry and Chris C

They tucked me in on the couch

With a blanked I was warm and cozy

On that Christmas eve night!

When I awoke in the morning

On the couch

Heard Christmas carols playing

I looked around!

Must have been a dream!

Under the tree was a gift

Addressed to me

On the tag signed

Love Merry and Chris C

It was a long story for a child to pay attention to but it ended up in the right place!
