Fairie and Elf (and the dragonfly)

.......and the lily of the valley chimed!

Poem Artwork

Bathing pool where fairie sat
Upon a lily pad
Honeysuckle drops she used
To scent her flowing hair

Hiding behind sprawling ferns
Peeked elf so very sad
Yearning for the fairie's love
He thought so very fair

Thought to get a closer look
Elf stepped upon a twig
"Snap!" it went as brittle does
Fairie saw elf who stared

Hearts shone in those eyes of his
Fairie blushed as she flew
Over there behind thick ferns
Seeking sly spy elf there

Dragonfly the fairie's friend
Softly buzzed near her ear
Taking her to where he hid
In green thick ferns his lair

Fairie twinkled as she stood
Smelling so very sweeet
Elf caught honeysuckle scent
Wafting upon the air

Out he came head down ashamed
Fairie did kiss his cheek
Dragonfly their love did seal
Making a lovely pair

I want to be that elf, I feel like I am that elf, perhaps I am that elf; in any case, I have no problem "being there" and being him/me. Love this totally, Jane! Love and best wishes covered in magic and mystical loveliness...

lovely fairy's , dragonfly on the fairy site I write with David rice, with Myrna wife the artist we did calender's you should think about a calendar like that would be beautiful..your work is exceptional book or children one chapters

Ah, you really should construct a story from this poem, Jane, and get it published. Either that or collect all your "fairy" and assorted similar characters (which could also be incorporated)in your story book) and have the poems printed into a book of poems. What say you?
