Rocking horse's experience is very precious to a child, even st my age I can still remember it and have dreamed about it. It was documented in my poem/story of "Dreamscapes and Fantasy - Heaven". Your g-grandson will remember this toy years from now.
The joy of watching a little child get into his toys and things such as the rocking horse, wagons etc. They can be really intense and joyous and this is conveyed clear to the onlooker. Lovely poem on a lovely subject.
I have a picture of me when I was that little riding my little horse on springs, though they were a lot less "comfortable" so to speak way back then...-e-
