Out of Air so Thin...

The more air I breathe that is too thin, the less my brain works...

Out of Air so Thin…

Where do the words come from, I have been asked?

Why, out of air so thin, I have to respond, with sass,

For without thin air, my words would be unfair,

Seeing me for what I am, you would, a devil may care…

What makes me write what I write, they have requested?

I write what I write, as I do every night, cause it is only quite right,

The ideas, or maybe the “muse” can never be accurately nailed down,

As most of these ideas come from a place I have not even as yet, found…

I write to help, I write to enjoy life, I write so that maybe it will for you astound,

And make you want to write for yourself, at least,

For as much as it will help you to find yourself & become more well round,

Not in shape, as I am so rotund, but emotionally in life, will you become shaped…

I try, most of the time to make you all laugh, although there a few that do not,

This one in particular, no hee-hee or ha-ha, no funny or humorous shot,

Just a way to say to you all, this one is different; this one deserves more of a frown,

As deep in thought I hope this makes you, nothing here to smile at, nothing to use for a clown…

Words are in thin air, all we have to do is grasp them, and from what you write, I would say you do do that. If I wore a hat, it would be lifted for you, sir. Glad I could stir the words . . . b

No laughing matter here Ed....words are in
your heart and soul...emotions create the
words that we write....at least that is
what I think...and when I am feeling nothing..
tired...exhausted to say the least...no words
...I do not really believe in a muse....its us...
we write...loved this...deep thinking....now make
me laugh....LOL....floria

Ahhh, Ed, my friend... no need for explanations.. it is what it is.... but having said that, you've captured a bit of your
depths and shared a bit of your muse and for that, I sit here pondering... a very good thing. You've written a wonderful example
of what we poets hope to do: simply convey ourselves through word.. for the word holds much power and in this case, a
kind of grace. Your honesty and sharing are welcome to the eyes. Keep it up... katy xox.
