Philosophy or not,
I don't much care,
It seems to me,
To be in the right spot...

Voices…

Is it me, or am I the only one tired of voices?

Tired of their different inferences,

Some squealing, some monotone, some baritone,

Some empty, some so full of themselves they need extra space to live,

Some happy, some sad, some blasting, some quiet,

Most boring, most sounding like they were purchased at the store…

Laughing, crying, screaming, whining,

All things I cannot stand to hear anymore,

Leave me alone, I don’t want to hear,

Please take that voice away from here…

Some voices are like nails on a blackboard,

Some remind me of things stored,

Some need to be destroyed, or at least ignored,

Some are there to be heard through the use of a chord,

Those are the only ones worth listening to; they can be adored…

Mine may not be any prize, for my size, it is very bass,

A very specific voice I have, so I have been told,

Herein you are lucky, as I cannot with it, grace…

Excellent write. Are you hearing voices, Ed? Like the people behind them, they have become too prevalent in our world. The more there are, the higher the din. Someone needs to invent birth control. LOL
Best regards,
Leland

And I thought this was another ghost story - 'I hear voices!' I agree with you, though.

The phrase 'Silence is Golden' means more to me everyday!
