Is it a mind blow or a just kinda slow...?

Exponential…

This day I should be working on my site,

Cleaning, preening and generally steaming, to remove winters blight,

But you see where I sit; at the computer, I do,

Straining to do what I like better, to write, is it only just right?

Windy day without, air freshening the interior of our home, cleaned, but still a sight,

Love to live here in the warmth, cold weather past, only a bit during the night,

Damn fly I must have only stunned with the swatter, is back with a vengeance,

Attacking what I have out to defrost, must yield as to its whims,

Till it departs with the light, its mate, outside, its destruction will be grim…

Whatever herein I do write, I seem to be at a loss to discover if its bright,

I wish the ocean was a bit more warm, another 20 degrees would make it right,

I am in the mood for an extended swim, but that will be another month or more,

How to name this poem I am expounding, making it grow to a length I know,

To see it grow in front of my face, to feel the keys under my fingers,

To know that my mind has come to the case, of making this poem more of a mind blow…

I have a fondness for exponents. They are powerful. The industrial revolution amazes me--what has been accomplished in my short lifetime; from outhouses to Mars in a few short years. The world is definitely spinning around at an exponential rate, just like a motor does when it's getting ready to burn itself out. Just an analogy--I don't know if the world is getting ready to come to an end or not.
