Born in the Wrong Time

A creature of a past incarnation, living here in the future, amongst others that do not understand my wants and desires...

Born in the Wrong Time…

From the wrong time I have come,

From a point in time when children were chattel,

I have come to this future, with visions of the past,

From a time when men did things that would make one aghast…

I lived in that time, a part and parcel I was, to the last,

Did what I did, made to regret, did it again, regret it I did cast,

In this future time, these things, they are all just memories of my mind,

I would pay dearly, to forgive myself, to forget that self,

I am here only because I must live,

Here in this time, with little to give,

Memories from the past, tied to the mast, a whipping I do relive…

Again, herein, with time I must practice,

Prickly pain given me with such cactus,

Pain I live with forever and a day,

For the rest of my time, herein I say…

Can I exist in this time, infinitum?

Can I be safe & protect the self, from past longings?

Those thoughts from my past, they are as well yearnings,

Of a past so fearful, so indescribably tearful,

That I am, at present, quite frightened as to the results,

Of any future engaging in that which I cannot allow…

If one were to fathom, from my rant herein,

As to the full extent of this pain,

I would therefore allow, yes I would grant,

You the title of an intelligent man or woman,

So much able to digest, what I herein suggest…

Ah, yes, Ed.. this and your recent postings sound very like you are working through some really depths of soul and coming to grips with some brain plagues... thank goodness you can write them with flair, emptying them into your fine verses... it helps, doesn't it? I'm with ya, sweetie pie... Keep going! katy xox.

I also do not believe in reincarnation but
I have had deja-vu...which really chilled me..
LIked I had been there ...done that before..
I guess we will never know till we get there..

I do understand past incarnations, or at least I think I do, and I believe we are a product of all of our past lives.
