Sunday Nights

Again, philosophy of sorts, or maybe not, just a rant to keep me on top...

Sunday Nights…

Not a good night for reviews,

No one awake or interested apparently the view,

But for me a good night to capture the news,

The only night I will, as I am not happy with the world…

I also get a chance this night, to type to my hearts content,

All manner of things, all thoughts and confusion, put down on paper,

To post it and not receive any comments till the morrow,

For you are all in bed, receiving or giving head, or getting laid, that is plain…

Not that I am jealous, oh what the hell, yes I am, only have Rufuz with me,

For that I will not get anywhere with him, short of the pet and the occasional rub,

And his paw placed in my face to tell me he loves me, maybe a bath in the tub,

Sounds like a good idea, if only I had a tub, then a shower to end the weekend,

But usually that wakes me up and makes me feel all unkind,

When I awaken tomorrow to go to work, I like to be at least pleasant, I really do mind…

So will be expecting some comments from those I respect,

When Sunday turns to Monday I get so retrospect,

Time from the past, time of my youth, time from my misspent days in prison, no less…

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
