Union Blue…

The north they wore blue,

The south they wore gray,

Both of which wore red some day’s,

Blood spilt on both sides,

Changing the gray to red or the blue to the same,

We all must remember & recall what that war did for our cause…

No more slavery, wiped out with the northern win,

Still it took so many more years, almost a century, to gain the freedom,

That the black/Negro/colored and all the other words used therein for that race,

Still have yet to see full equality, even in this world of supposedly higher values, such a disgrace…

Brother fought brother, in that war over a hundred and some years ago,

While we still battle amongst each other, the same, brother against brother, black against white,

We all have the same color in our veins, can we not all just see that, and disallow more fights,

How can this be done, some ask, just listen to each other, and end racism, its only right…
