Costs Little to be Kind

A man I grew to love as my 2nd father, far more so than my own, there at a time I was in need...this is his legacy, his personal philosophy, we should all heed this as we all also need this...

A man I grew up respecting

A teacher of shop in High school

A family man with 4 children of his own

Including, dare I say, myself, I felt one of his own

He did say so many times, “Costs little to be kind”,

Lived this philosophy he did, tried to impart it to his kids

Though I was not blood, he treated me as such, that he did

I loved this man like another father, as mine was less than that to me then

To learn to be kind, it is a small thing to do and takes little time

Just a smile, just a kind word, to anyone you find it necessary to do

Treat others as you would have them treat you, not sure who said it

But it is the truth, and living with the truth is the only way

Beyond that of peace we can live that as such as well…

Your second father sounds like a very wise and compassionate man, Ed. Glad you listened to his sage advice.

This is so true Ed!!

It cost us actually nothing to be kind....it's free to give!!

And healthy to.....stress free!!

Love Tinka

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.

Enlightenment Dialogues: A Journey of Post-metaphysical Onliness Awake by Martin Treon

This combined narrative dialogue and play is about the uncreated, unborn and undying transcendent Self of God-consciousness and Buddha-nature. It describes an odyssey of transcendent Consciousness Awakening and Remembrance.
