We read what we read...

We do read what we read,

Some find fiction, some poetry,

Some find drama, some mystery,

Some find war, some history…

We all read what makes us comfortable,

We read in poetry, what we read INTO poetry,

For some it means one thing, for another something else,

For the next, yet again another thing,

As the seasons do change, we read about summer, winter and spring…

What do you read?

Romance & love, for your soul?

Recipes for your bowls?

Ways to exercise, yes taking a stroll?

Oriented are you by your goals?

Prison stories while out on parole?

Police stories on patrol?

We all have our desires,

Some like fighting fires,

From within and without,

Some just about, maybe that of a drought,

Or maybe some more regards a wayward sprout,

Gardening a main specialty for some,

Or maybe fishing for trout…

Enjoy your ability to read,

As some have not got it,

Pity those that cannot read,

For they know not what they miss,

Better to go thru life without taking a piss,

Than to be in a non-reading abyss…
